GLORY MACHINERY has completed the installation of a high two-module advanced strip edge trimming machine line at the customer’s workshop. The coil-to-coil line is engineered for continuous steel-strip edge finishing, including deburring, chamfering and round-edge processing.
High Two-Module Strip Edge Trimming Line: Project Overview
This project uses two edge-processing modules to support controlled, multi-step finishing of both strip edges. The machine configuration is suitable for stainless steel, carbon steel, cold-rolled steel and other metal strip materials, subject to final process confirmation.

Two-Module Edge-Finishing Configuration
The two-module arrangement provides separate processing positions for controlled edge conditioning. Depending on the strip and target profile, the line can be configured for burr removal, chamfer creation and R-edge finishing. This modular approach gives manufacturers greater flexibility when a single production program must handle different edge-quality requirements.

Stable Strip Tension and Servo-Controlled Knife Feeding
An S-roll system provides stable strip tension through the edge-processing section. Consistent tension and strip guidance help maintain the relationship between the moving strip and trimming knives, which is important for repeatable edge finishing at production speed.
The trimming knives use servo-controlled automatic feeding. The control system supports precise feeding adjustments through the production program, reducing dependence on repeated manual positioning. The operating interface shown during commissioning was set to 120 m/min. The line is designed for a maximum speed of up to 200 m/min; the achievable production speed depends on the material grade, strip thickness, strip width and required finished-edge profile.

Mature Control Programs Built Through Ten Years of Development
Through approximately ten years of strip-edge trimming machine development, GLORY MACHINERY has built mature control programs and practical process experience for automatic feeding, tension coordination and edge-profile adjustment. Final production parameters must always be matched to the customer’s strip sample and target edge standard.

The following project images show the uniform finished-strip results after automatic edge processing. The actual edge geometry is selected according to the downstream application and confirmed by sample testing.

The mechanical installation and project setup were completed at the customer’s workshop in July 2026. This project demonstrates GLORY MACHINERY’s capability to integrate edge-processing modules, stable tension control, servo knife feeding and coil handling into one automatic strip edge trimming line.
